How to Make Homestay Payments

Step-by-step instructions for international students on how to make payments before and during your homestay placement.

There are currently two ways to submit homestay payments throughout your stay. Check out our instructions on how to make homestay payments below.

Option #1

Invoice Payment Link (via credit card)

By far the most simple and convenient option is to pay your invoice via Stripe! Homestay invoices are sent to you via email. If you cannot find the invoice in your inbox, you can search for "StudentRoomStay" as a keyword and/or check your spam folder.

The email(s) will have come from "StudentRoomStay", with the subject line: New invoice from StudentRoomStay #invoice-number.

Need help finding it? Here's an example of what our invoices look like:

To pay, simply click the large red button that says Pay this invoice.

After that, you're all set! :)

Please note: Stripe requires a small processing fee for paying with a credit card. If you would like to avoid this fee, you can pay us via direct deposit transfer using the option #2 below.

Option #2

Direct Transfer to SRS (bank-to-bank)

This option is less convenient but does not require a processing fee. You can usually initiate a bank-to-bank wire transfer in person at your bank or through your online bank account. You will need the following for a direct transfer to StudentRoomStay below:

SRS Bank Details:

  • Bank Name

  • Bank Address

  • Account Name

  • Business Address

  • SRS Homestay Account Number

  • International Swift Code

For transfers initiated outside of US:

  • Bank Address

  • Domestic Routing Number

  • Bank ACH Routing Number

☑️ Important Reminder: If you choose to pay via Direct Transfer (bank-to-bank), please email us a copy of your receipt so that we can link the transfer to your homestay account and mark your payment as complete.
